Before you come.

A few things visitors usually want to know before they make the drive.

Tune your car radio to 100.5 FM when you pull up. The lights are mapped to the music, beat by beat. Roll your windows down on a quiet night if you want to share, but please keep outside speakers off.
This is a drive-by show. We're on a dirt road with no sidewalks, so please stay in your vehicle. On the plus side, you can bring hot cocoa and pajamas, and nobody has to find a parking spot.
Pull up in front of the house with the lights. You'll know it when you see it. If someone's already there, ease along the shoulder and wait your turn, or park just past the house and watch from there. Please don't block driveways or mailboxes. The neighbors are wonderful and they tolerate a lot.
Weeknights are quieter. Friday and Saturday between 7 and 9 PM are the busiest. Christmas Eve is extra special — we come out and hand candy canes to visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. And if you can't make it before the new year, don't worry: the show runs all the way through January.
Yes, always. No tickets, no tip jar, no catch.
Please do. Snap all you want and share with family and friends. We're not on social media ourselves, but if you use #LangenLightShow when you post, other visitors can find your pictures too.

Behind the pixels.

Nearly 150,000 lights in all. 45,000 of them are individually addressable pixels for the choreography. The other 100,000 are classic LEDs for the glow. Every frame is mapped. We build the whole thing across the off-season in a garage, held together with patience, solder, and a lot of zip ties. We like sharing how it's done.
